China's first canal culture museum opened

China's first museum of canal culture completed construction and opened
in the scenic spot of Dongchang Lake in Shandong's Liaocheng on July 12,
2005. The museum began construction in November 2004. Covering an area of
10,000 square meters, the museum has three divisions including
exhibition, collection as well as research and academic exchange.
