China to abolish limitation on employment of rural laborers

Pictured, the job fair for transferring rural women laborers was held in
Hubei's Yichang on Feb. 15th, 2006.

Feb. 16 - It was learned from China's Ministry of Labor and Social
Security (MOLSS) on Feb. 15th that in 2005, China's cities and towns saw
9.7 million new employees.
On the basis of arranging for reemployment of 5.1 million laid-off
workers, this year MOLSS will further improve farmers' employment
environment in cities and towns and abolish the limitation on rural
laborers' urban and interregional employment.
